Lindela is one of four 2010 graduation films selected to be screened at the Durban International Film Festival this year.

Synopsis:
Shadrack is an honest hardworking mechanic living in hillbrow, johannesburg. One evening on his route home, he is stopped at a road block where police are looking for illegal immigrants. Because of his dark complexion and being unable to produce an id on sight, shadrack is arrested and detained at lindela repatriation centre. Despite his efforts to prove his identity, he is put onto a bus bound to zimbabwe. On their way, the bus breaks down and in return for fixing it shadrack is able to buy his freedom.
